Dr. Gundry Believes the Secret to Longevity Lies in Your Gut!

The Longevity Paradox is a great new food plan by Dr. Gundry.  He believes that Leafy Greens provide for our beneficial gut bacteria which help to keep us young and youthful.  Tufts University research indicates that those that consume leafy greens regularly like spinach, kale, collards, and romaine lettuce had brains that were 11 years younger than those that skimped.  So a simple green smoothie daily will aid in your longevity goals:

In a blender mix:  1 cup of romaine lettuce, 1/2 cup spinach, 1/2 cup kale 1/2 cup mixed berries, half an avocado, and the juice of one lemon.  Make this all organic please or at least check out local growers for nonpoisonous/pesticide sprayed.  Add 1 cup of water and 1/4 cup of icecubes and blend.  Add stevia to taste if required.

Stress allows harmful bacteria to take over your gut environment, your microbiome.  Stress weakens the walls of the gut, triggering inflammation that is harmful to longevity and your health.  It is coined as inflammaging.  What helps is spending five minutes minimum reflecting on appreciating and giving gratitude for every experience, especially the negative ones.  As soul's, we choose our experiences for the lessons we need to learn on this human journey.  You can find the gratitude in each experience which then allows you to take what could create chronic inflammation and release it so it doesn't become toxic in your system.  Daily gratitude practise will reduce your stress hormone levels by 23%.  I use Rhonda Byrnes daily gratitude practice the Magic.  It works like magic.

Immersing your body in a hot bath once a week for 20 minutes helps worn-out cells self-destruct so new fresh healthy cells can take their place.  Hot baths increase the body's ability to produce nitric oxide that keeps blood cells flexible and young.  You can add your favorite essential oils, Epsom salts, Himalayan salt or sea salt if you choose.  Whatever works best for you in a hot bath.

Remember to check with your health practitioner before starting any new nutrition, exercise or hot bath routine.
